I got a new hard drive for both my PS3 and PS4. No, you cannot use this HDD since it is a desktop HDD. You will need a laptop size for PS3 and PS4. Additionally you can also use the SATA port on the PS4 to attach an external HDD of any size, if you ever plan to get a 4. I got Seagate for both my PS3 and PS4, and have had no problems. However I used a WB with my PS3, and the HDD quit out on me. I may have accidentally touched the contacts with my hands, but I don't think I did.
