Depends on the cables you have and your ability to maneuver the new hd into place without disrupting other wires and components. This is a sata hd, so you'll want to double check that. You would need an install cd or flash drive to do a new install of windows, and then copy your old files from either a disk backup or just redownload them. Don't forget you'd also need to reinstall your drivers for your motherboard, video card and processing chipset, along with anything else.

If not, and/or in order to assist others with the same question, I'll try. I was not familiar with your computer and the idea that it does not have a hard drive was seemed odd to me. I know that many laptops and netbooks don't have HDs, but a solid-state drive, so I did a bit of research on your computer and what I saw at HP suggested that you do have the solid-state drive but that your case should accept a HD. Indeed, one of the drives listed as compatible is a very similar 1T drive. So it would seem that this HD would work with your CPU and OS, but as I'm a hands-on kind of guy, I think only cracking the case would confirm if it can be physically installed.
