The Black series is aimed at power users and hardcore gamers. On paper the black series may have slightly better transfer rates and a better warranty. Practically, most won’t notice a difference. Performance in newer games is depending more on your internet connection and less on HDD. For significant reductions in program load time, you will likely need to look at SSHD.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The black drive has is 1.a better warranty i2.t is ran through a high threshold of testing and is rated for more hours of use. 3 7200RPM instead of the Blue being 5400rpm
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As far as I know it usually a matter of Cache space. Blue hard drives have the minimum of 8mb although it can be more. Cache is basically your hard drives ram that its using so that it can read and write. The higher the Cache the easier and more consistent it will be when reading and writing. So its more just a performance thing blacks perform better but Blues will always be cheaper, So just depends if its a normal everyday system might not matter, if its something like a security system or a drive for pictures or games the black might be the better bet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Basically none as far as I can tell except it is cheaper in price. I love mine as a time machine on my MacBook Pro.
