This would depend on the model and sometimes bios of the motherboard. Is the OptiPlex you have offer SATA connections, most likely yes. Check the specific model number on Dell's website to ensure the hard drive will work but I would guess yes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have two Optiplex GX620's running them and they run just fine
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes as long as the interface is the same ie. sata III
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a Opti-Plex 380 and it worked just fine. Dell uses a plastic case around the hard drive for plug and play compatibility.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends how old your Dell Optiplex is. If the motherboard doesn't have the Serial ATA connection, then the hard drive is not compatible.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.as long as your refurb has a sata connector
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Any machine with a SATA port and power hook up is compatible.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is definitely compatible. After disconnecting the two cables, I simply snapped the old drive with its carrier out, put the new drive in the carrier, snapped it back in place and reconnected. A 10 min. job. Of course it is necessary to install an operating system. I opted to upgrade to windows 7 so I added 2 gig of memory. For about 250 dollars, I now have a very respectable home computer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As long as the Dell OptiPlex uses SATA drives and not IDE drives it should work just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should be. I installed in a Dimension C521 and it has been flawless.
