You will need to install the drive in the computer with the power and signal cables hooked up. The bios will recognize the drive. You will need to format it for your operating system-Windows will usually require NTFS. You can use the Acronis software to do this. Once the format is complete, install your operating system from the install disk, then install your other programs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, if you have the Operating System software to load after its installed you can use it in your pc
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No hard drive will boot to the BIOS. It should be recognized by the BIOS though. You have to have some sort of install media like a CD/DVD to boot off of and then install the Operating system. Usually hard drives are not bootable out of the box
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you need to have an operating disk to boot from ie windows 10 or a mac disc. with the computer on, open the disc drive drawer, insert the disc and close. hold down the power button on your computer to turn it off. now turn the power back on and your computer should boot from the disc. good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will actually boot to a Non-System disk or Disk Error or just no boot at all. You will have to have some sort of bootable media to boot to whether it is a USB drive with Windows on it or downloading an ISO image of your operating system from the appropriate company so you can install the operating system to the drive.
