I would recommend you not use this drive for your primary os boot drive. consider a SSD. It will help with boot times and overall responsiveness of your machine. As far as the ram, you dont need to upgrade, being that it is ddr2 you owont see marked differences and unless you just have some laying around it isnt really worth it price considering. Additionally consider that once you start purchasing upgrade parts eventually you will reach a point where you exceed the price of a new modern budget pc
