Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have installed this hard drive in a dell inspiron 610 as a main hard drive and have never had an issue. I have also installed this as a back up drive in a Dell XPS 8100, again with no issues. The only issue I have ever had with this drive is the drivers not loading currectly from a fresh win 7 install (on the inspiron) which was a software issue, not related to this HDD. So you should be fine with this drive in any PC as a primary or secondary HDD.

Please try again later.It Depends, you need to check if your motherboard supports serial ATA or not, must be either the 3 Gbps or 6 Gbps spec, you can tell by the port or cable. You can also call Dells support line and they can tell you which you have, the only difference will be the speed of data but wont affect overall performance of the drive itself.
