• A PS3 will take any 2.5" HDD. I've put straight SSDs in them before and they functioned fine. This drive will too as it doesn't require any program to optimize it outside the firmware on the drive itself.

• yes. just had the geeks at best buy put it in mine. love it, it works great and now i have 2 tb .
