Not to replace the internal drive. PS4 uses a 2.5" Drive (usually labelled Laptop). This is a 3.5" drive, so it wont' physically fit inside. Laptop drives are more expensive due to the small size. You might consider an external drive.

You can purchase a cover for this and use it as an external usb, but this drive is designed to go inside of a computer tower. Why not just buy an external hdd

These are only 5400rpm drives. I don't know if they would be the best choice for a gaming console which would probably want better speeds for read and write capabilities. They are good for backups or storing data that does not need accessed a lot.

Hi NY Giant, despite this being asked a year ago at this point, and you may have already gotten your answer, if you haven't yet, no this drive would not work. Most 2.5 inch drives will work. I currently use a Seagate Momentus XT 1TB SSHD with a 32GB NAND cache which gives both the benefit of added storage capacity but also for some things the speed of an SSD. The cache is a learning process as it will look at what you use most often and allocate it into the Cache so that what you use most often will load faster.
