• This hard drive is a sata connection so you'll be able to use it, if you're upgrading a hard drive that has the OS on it already, make sure to make a boot drive to load the Mac OS onto the new drive.

• Yes. It has a SATA interface. Since this is a laptop, it *might* be able to just mount where the old HDD fastened - or you can get an inexpensive mounting shell.
