To my knowledge, there's no real difference between the two... one may be "rated" for faster speeds but the port is the same!

Please try again later.Best Buy doesn't often cater to the custom desktop building crowd, so while you may find individual components, it may be hard to find all the connectors and finishing parts to complete a build. That said, this drive is a great upgrade for most laptops that don't need the cables.
