Most laptops nowadays are 2.5 in SATA drives. The lighter models are using M2 type hard drives. Check the Dell website with your service tag and it will tell you exactly what size the drive is in your current laptop. If the current drive is a 2.5 SATA HDD then this new SSD will work.
