• This drive works in many laptops that use a 2.5" drive. I have used it in an Asus laptop that originally had a Mechanical drive. I believe it should work in most laptops. It has a standard Sata connection. Comes with Acronis for cloning your original drive. I have not installed one in an HP Envy. I would check with HP website and see what kind of drive the notebook came with,
