Hi DiamondPuma, Please be informed that the WD Easystore drive is a plug and play device tested and designed only for Windows and Mac computers for seamless operation. Need Help? Please see our "'Contact Us" page for information.

Look up some "EasyStore shucking" videos on tips, and to see where exactly the retention clips are to know where to insert your guitar pick, gift card, screwdriver, etc. If you pry the sides out too far, the retention clips will break, but if that doesn't concern you, just pry them wide away. It's not as if the enclosures will fall apart without them when put back together, but broken clips are an obvious giveaway you've opened the drive. That in itself doesn't void your warranty, however. Hang onto the enclosures, USB circuit board, and the light-pipe if you need to re-assemble, if you ever want to send it in for warranty service. Should probably mark which drive goes with which enclosure, if you're getting more than one drive.
