Does this come with any recovery software? null

Yes. WD's back up software is pre-installed on the drive and it's already formatted NTFS, so pretty much all modern Windows machines will recognize it. If you are a MacOS user, WD has instructions on how to format it to something MacOS will recognize.

There was software on the drive for PC and Mac computers, but I don't think any was for recovery.
