Not on its own. There is no ethernet port for the drive, and wifi isn't built in either. You would need to have this plugged into a pc that is set up for remote storage. If you want to stick to this brand (which I cannot fault you for cuz they are good) I think the WD myCloud would be better suited for your needs as a standalone remote storage solution. That product is a NAS device, which are designed to allow remote storage without being tied to a host computer...
