• I would think so, if you load the WD software on that PC. I don’t know for sure as I didn’t install their software, I just copied files from my computer to the drive directly. Sorry I can’t give a more definite answer.

• That would absolutely HAVE TO BE a facet of the drive. Otherwise, it would be useless for backup. Like having a billion dollars, in a safe, without the combination.
