If using a mac specific file format like HFS+ then no, it will not be readable by Windows. However you can format the drive using exFAT which will be compatible with both.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The best thing to do is to format the drive to exFat format. From there, both Macs and PCs can read and write to the drive. It's much easier than dealing with the Paragon NTFS software or the like. Just my opinion and that's what I did to our drive before giving it to my wife (we both have MacBook Pros) and I can plug it into my desktop PC in our office to access the pictures, too.
