“I have a Lenovo G50 Laptop. Geek Squad said buy a new hard drive so they can repair my laptop. Would this hard drive going tp be compatible with my laptop? I had been using Windows XP until windows 10 came out. Do I want something different, windows 7?”

I tried this drive on an old ex desktop and it wouldn't recognize it but on windows 7 and up no problem
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Support for Windows 7 will be discontinued in a little over 2 years. I would definitely upgrade to Windows 10 or Linux and get away from XP, which can easily be compromised since support ended on it quite a while ago. That means it can be easily hacked and no support for new problems that show up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think they meant to buy a non enclosure hard drive if you wanted to repair a laptop hard drive, this would not work. The other bare drive is actually cheaper.
