The drive is a bomb and will backup by schedule through windows control panel. Take a backup which includes an IMAGE of your old PC and restore the same on the new one -- everything gets restored on the new machine (you need to insert some passwords, etc which won;t be restored) For god's sake spend a few bucks and get a new machine with windows 10 pro or you'll be behind from the start. In your case it might be wise to start up the new machine with windows 10 pro and only transfer the files (not the IMAGE)-- you will need to install all your programs from their CD's before you transfer since it is unlikely that Vista compatible stuff will still run unless updated.
