“Just bought a WD easystore Portable backup-1 TB Can't find any 'install' instructions , driver information etc. Is it 'plug and play' such that I only plug it in and that's all? Do I need to set times/days for refreshing the backup? Thanks Brian”

It's plug and play. They run off of you operating system's drivers

Only once notification came up that said, do you trust this device or sometimes it comes up and says, would you allow this Mac to open up this device? You just click yes and you’re in if your computer is asking 1000 different questions it’s probably not the hard drive it’s probably the settings in your computer most likely but it is a plug and play.
