No, it is not possible to plug this directly into an HDMI port. An HDMI signal has to be sent from something like a computer, Blu-ray player, etc. So you could plug this drive up to the USB port on a computer, and then connect the computer to the TV via HDMI port. Some TV's have USB ports directly on them.
