“Will I be able to use this with Windows & Mac? My desktop is a Mac, my laptop a Windows. I need to be able to be able to switch from one to the other.”

No! You can only use with one system. I have one for my Mac and one for my windows. The reason being because you will have to change format and everytime you do so you have to delete everything.

Hi 174R2NYC, The WD Easystore external hard drive comes pre-formatted with NTFS format for Windows computer. However, the hard drive can be reformatted in a supported exFAT format to be used on Windows and macOS.
