The easystore portable drive is both USB 3.0 ready and USB 2.0 compatible. It comes with USB 3.0 Type-A cable. • I do not know. The WD drive has been in the sole possession of the GeeK Squad since I purchased it. This is because I requested that they transfer data from multiple sources to that drive. Hopefullly, I do not have to purchase the USB plug.
