Hi BeenThere216, Please know that WD Blue SSD comes with SATA III 6 Gb/s interface. It is available in 2.5 Inch as well as M.2 2280 both form factors. It will work in both. By default it fits in a 2.5 drive bay. If using it in a desktop you will need an adapter tray for 2.5 to 3.5

They do, you can (if you want) purchase https://www.bestbuy.com/site/corsair-dual-sata-drive-enclosure-for-2-5-solid-state-drives-black/6033200.p?skuId=6033200 to make the 3.5 into a 2.5 however personally when I put these in desktops I just attach one of the screws to a hole and let a lot of empty space in there. There are no moving parts in SSD so even if there's a jolt there's no platters like a normal hard drive to bang around. But for aesthetics I would recommend the above product for under $10

Im not sure about laptops. This is an internal SSD. Installed it inside my desktop to work alongside the provided WB 1TB HDD.

Laptops use 2 1/2" Drives. Desktops use 3 1/2' Drives. They do not interchange, but they can be used as an external drive, with adapter. Enclosed case is an option for the storage device.

Yes, It will fit in both laptops and desktops, for a DESKTOP with a 3.5 inch drive bay you will need a 2.5 to 3.5 drive tay adapter.
