Price and power connection I believe.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The basic differences, that I know of, is the the EasyStore is almost exclusive to Best Buy, but it still WD so you know it’s still quality. it’s not some store brand knock off. I’ve been impressed with Best Buy’s own products. Secondly, I believe the Passport and other WD’s have much better encription build into the drive and software. I don’t think the average users need to worry about that sort of thing. Also most companies have software or firmware updates to address issues. Also I’ve found there are plenty of free 3rd party software, can encript and protect hard drives, flash dives, and SD cards better and are universal. Lastly, I DO NOT know if this is true but I’ve seen some experts say the some of the parts inside are “repurposed”. They were referring to minor parts/connections and NOT the Actual HardDrive. Again I’ve read or heard this last part and have ZERO 1st hand knowledge of any repurposing. Also they have the same WD warranty. So it really nothing to worry about. I love WD Hard Drives. Mainly I belive it for most users it’s just the name on the box. I hope this helps. Personally I like the Easystores. I’ve found no difference in performance. I want to reiterate that this answer is part 1st hand knowledge and some 2nd hand. So if the question really concerns you. Do your home work. Thanks
