Why is this 2 to drive less expensive than the 1 to? null

Supply and demand. More folks are wanting the 2 Tgb. Not making the 1 Tgb anymore.

Not sure I understand your question. The Best Buy Easystore drive is cheaper than the virtually identical WD MyPassport because it does not have WD encryption and backup software on it. That's the only difference that I'm aware of.
