• I purchased the 2TB drive to back up my photo library of over 60,000 photos, and used under 500GB.

• Scott: It all depends how large the file is for each photo and what format you have them in. That is to say that jpeg files will be a lot smaller than raw files, for example. Also, cameras often save files in different sizes.
