• Yes, but you'll first have to reformat it. Out of the box it's set to NTFS which Mac won't read. You can reformat to HFS for Mac use or if you want to use on both Mac and Windows you could format to exFat.

• I got mine for my ps4 and had to format it to use with it so I would take it you would just need to format it to work with the macbook. But don't quote me on that. I did ask the salesperson if it didn't work with what I needed it for if I could return it and they said I could within the date on the receipt.
