• When you reformat the drive you will loose stored information from the drive. Reformat it first to allow use on both the PC and Mac. Then back up your photos and videos from the HP laptop and transfer to your Mac. Reformat to exFAT file system. It will work on your PC and Mac.

• Any time you format any hard drive you loose all the info on it, unless you Partition it as two Drives then you can use one to work with Windows or Linux and the other with IOS
