You should be able to if you format it correctly when you first get it. I have all Mac/Apple products at home and work uses all PCs. I save and work on projects from both with no issues. Just Google formatting an external drive for Mac and PC.

Please try again later.If your router has the software to act as a file server (e.g. says it can share an attached HDD over the network), then yes, this should work just fine. The primary questions I'd have in your situation would be about the capabilities of the router software, not this drive. It's possible you might have to reformat this with a different filesystem to satisfy the router, but I would expect not. It'll come formatted with NTFS, which is the standard for Windows machines and a file serving router than couldn't deal with an NTFS drive being attached to it would be pretty lousy indeed. (In the worst case that you did have to reformat it, you can get help with that process online pretty easily. It's a fairly common task and simple-to-communicate need.)
