My guess is that for those files that won't play are in a format incompatible with your TV. Check your TV's manual to confirm those formats. There are programs out there that will easily convert your files.

TVs often have problems with the various CODECs and many TVs are programmed with a limited number of CODECs. The CODEC is the software that reads or writes compressed video and there is almost an unlimited number of ways a video can be compressed. While there are about 10 common CODECs, a lot of videos are compressed using obscure or proprietary CODECs. Make sure you keep the firmware on your TV updated and chances are it will eventually be able to play the video files. If you contact Samsung support, they may be able to identify the CODEC and add it to a future update.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Samsung TV may not have the necessary codecs installed for the files that won't play. I would contact Samsung support.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Samsung nu7100 will not support access to those file types since it’s relatively older entry level model. The newer Samsung Q series fully supports and works fantastic.
