Transferring is simple, e.g., I using File Explorer. Keep in mind, if you have an old machine with only 2.0 USB ports, moving a ton of files will be slow, but not too bad. Not too sure why your Seagate doesn't work, perhaps it needs to be reformatted to NTFS, if so you'll need to offload your files ahead of time as reformatting will delete everything.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hmm I've never crossed an hdd that doesn't support an operative system before and the transfer it's up to the computer not the hard drive. It took me like 8h to transfer 2.8tb but it was big files, in your case will take a little bit longer since you have a bunch of small files. But don't trust every word I say, keep looking hehe.
