How do i reformat to run on my mac? null

Go to Applications in Finder Select Utities Select Disk Utilities Select the drive in the list on the left. You can specify the formatting options, which will vary depending on which version of macOS your computer is running.

It can be used on a mac too, it is just a storage unit.

To start, I would move any precious files elsewhere as reformatting wipes the drive. Next plug it into your Mac and open disk utility, select the external drive, then click reformat and select the Mac optimized one. It should also be noted that Macs will read the factory format but not be able to write to the drive out of the box.
