If you have video or audio files stored on it that are the correct file format for your TV to play, then yes, you can plug it directly into your TV and use the player’s built-in controls to navigate, select files, and play them. My husband is from Germany, and he missed the shows he used to watch over there. He found a place where he can download the files for free, so he saves them on the drive, then plugs it directly into the USB port on his TV. The large size of th drive is really nice because he can store tons of stuff in one place and not need to constantly swap out USB sticks.
