“Can the storage drive be used with both Windows and Mac at the same time? I need to move files between the 2 operating systems. Seagate works well, but not certain about WD.”

• most solid state flash ( thumb drives) are formatted for MAC and are readable on windows..that is what i have experienced. For a long time i had an older 2tb Passport formatted for Mac that I was using on my windows...and a friend was using on his super Mac...If you format the hard drive on your Mac first you should be able to use it on your windows based PC. Just remember that formatting it will erase everything on it so back it up

• format any hard disk in exFAT format, Read+Write should work fine then with both windows and Mac.

• The brand of drive shouldn't make a difference, provided it works with both of them separately.
