Hi, Please be informed that the WD Easystore drive is a plug and play device tested and designed for Windows and Mac computers for seamless operation. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.On the narrow side of the box if it says the drive requires reformatting in order to use it with macOS, then you can assume that the drive is pre-formatted for Windows.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It was formatted in NTFS, typical windows style. To make sure, plug it in your windows machine, right click on it and choose Properties. You should see that. Or, simply drag a file from other drive and drop it to the new drive.
