Can this be used on any gaming system? null

Confirmed to work with XBOX One and PS4. Just plug in while the system is on and it will format as required.

Possibly on an Xbox One or PS 4. They can handle a lot of different drivers, even though there are "preferred" compatible drives. Those usually have to do with certain settings optimized for power/sleep. It comes formatted for the Windows compatible NTFS file system, so your game console is going to want to reformat it when you first attach.
