Absolutely, in fact I transferred games I had backed up on another drive to this 5TB Western Digital. The process requires you to load them back onto the PS4 first which while a bit time consuming is just a quirk of the PS4 system. Otherwise, it is a simple USB connection and tell the PS4 to format your drive, then the process is automatic from that point forward. The Playstation website has instructions if you run into any difficulty on the set-up.
