You got it, the 3.0 struggles with a 2.0 port. The 3.0 do not get hot on my computer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't ever had an issue with mine getting hot. The 3.0 vs 2.0 port shouldn't be an issue, although you won't get the transfer speed using the 2.0 port that you would using the 3.0. Have you tried using the 3.0 port instead? You may have a defective product. Just to say, I don't have a degree or certificate, just life experience. I hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0. Mine does not get hot or even warm when in use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's normal for the drive to get hot. If it's feeling hot let it cool down before utilizing it again. If will operate in a USB 2.0 port but you will not get the advantage of 3.0 speed unless you have a 3.0 port (blue in color)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Some temperature changes are normal, just depends on usage. Nothing extreme where it would burn to the touch. Most flash drives, if not all, are compatible with either.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.that's normal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have used this jump drive in both 2.0 and 3.0 ports, no problem. Most 3.0 drives nowadays work in either. Regarding the heating, it seems to me that most flash drives warm up during use. I have one with a metal case that gets extra hot, but I don't worry much about it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Return it
