• No it does not have password protection and even with the WD security software included with other WD external drives password protection cannot be added (unless a third party solution is used)

• I do not think so. But you can format it to be encrypted. do web search encrypt hard drive. I worry most about my data walking off - these drives can be removed easily.

• I was told by Best Buy that it does. I was not interested and have not tried to implement that feature. So I guess I don't know either.
