Can you just plug in the USB to a Mac and be good to go? null

Need to format for the Mac, unless you buy the Mac version. PC and Mac versions are the same, except the formatting and software are specific for PC or Mac. Would need to re-format to whatever system you use.

The Drive comes PC formatted as NTFS. It does mount on the desktop by plugging it into a USB port but must be reformatted with the disk utility tool. Very easy to do and fast - then drive was good-to-go.

I don't own a MAC but it was that easy with Windows.
