The drive connects via a USB 3.0 cable which is included. Speed of transfer is acceptable, maybe not quite as fast as a direct SATA connection, but perfectly workable. I'm not really sure what you mean by reusable DVDs, this is a 3.5 inch hard drive inside the case.

It is reusable (you can add/delete data to/from it multiple times). 2) How does this connect? This connects with two wires. One wire is power cable (plugs into wall and other end plugs into hard drive). The second wire plugs the hard drive to the computer. 3) Size (inches) The box/original packaging is: 9" x 8" x 3.5" The External Hard Drive is: 6 5/8" x 5 1/2" x 2" The internal hard drive is: 5 5/8" x 4" x 3.5"
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not sure why you ask about DVD? I did not need one and it does not use them! It uses a usb 3.0 cable to connect to your computer, and a power plug to the wall. Aprox 2 inches wide 7 inches high 6 inches deep!

This is an extra Hard Drive connected to increase storage. This items does not use DVD's, You can take a DVD containing Computer programs and photos, Copy them to this unit for backups
