“At times I need to move the drive from one computer to another. My current back up drive won't allow that and tells me I need to reformat when moving it between computers. Is there any problem doing that with this drive?”

Your current backup drive is probably just fine. It has to be formatted to a common format that will work with both of your computers. I'm assuming that one computer is a mac and one is a PC, or maybe they are running different operating systems. Find out a format that both of your computers will support, then format your existing drive to that format, and you should be able to use it on both. Good luck.
