• Desktop or laptop - doesn't matter so long as you have a USB port that this drive can plug into. This drive is big, and not very portable.

• OF COURSE why wouldn't it? As long as your laptop can sww the drive on your network.

• As long as your laptop has a USB port, this drive should work. The enclosure will connect to your computer with a USB cable and then a 12v power adapter plugs into the wall.
