• Yes it can be but honestly the units that are portable would be better for you, this unit needs to be plugged into wall outlet for power and plugged into the console, the portable ones just plug into the console.

• Yes this will work on your PS4. Make sure you format it to exFAT then plug it in to your PS4. Follow the prompts and the PS4 will do the rest
