• Yes it's a standard laptop hdd. Mine runs fine, I used it for extended storage for my PS4 Pro. I give it my personal recommendation.

• No, this hard drive is for USB 3.0 with backwards compatibility to USB 2.0.

• It's an external hard drive. There is something in side the case if that's what you're asking. Just plug it in and start saving files.
