It should be compatible with any USB 2 or 3 device. If you are running a really old OS, it might not be able to see the full capacity of the drive, but that is an OS problem, not a hardware problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your computer supports USB 2.0 or USB 3.0, then it will work. That particular computer, the evo-510ff, is more than 10 years old if the searches I put on it are correct. That being said, it should have USB 2.0, but there's no guarantees. If you are able to get into device manager, then check under universal serial bus controllers, and see if "Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller" is listed. If it's there, then at least one of your ports is USB 2.0 compatible. If it doesn't say "Enhanced" then it's only USB 1.1 and you're out of luck.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I didn't know that Compaq still existed as a brand. HP bought them years ago, and I believe the last Compaq computer was built in 2010. If the machine has a USB port (which is safe to assume), then, yes, you could use this drive, though it wouldn't be as fast as if used with a computer that supports USB 3.0. Really, it's time for you to buy a new computer.
