• If your router has USB 2 or USB 3 connections for an external drives, then yes, it can be attached and shared. Most higher end routers support attaching drives directly to them so they can be shared.

• As long as the router supports USB drives, then yes. It's automatic standby mode is particularly beneficial in these situations.

• It depends on the router, but yes. As long as your router supports the NAS feature this drive should work. Read the Owners Manual for your device to see what the requirements are before purchasing this one.
