Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello I got 2 of these WD5TB Ext and they do NOT come with any disks, it seems that the software is pre-installed on the drives. It comes with dotNetFx40, WD SES Driver Setup, WD SmartWare Setup (which is what you were asking about), WD Driver Utilities Setup and WD Security Setup. Great product with the exception of the USB cable (the single row as opposed to the more stable/less likely to get bent double row cable), but for the price its hard to go wrong. I just wonder if you can remove them from the case and put them in a NAS, or your own enclosure......hmmm, anyway, that should answer all your questions, good luck, VipersHardware.
